Jacqueline Young

Jacqueline (Jackie) Young of Philadelphia passed away on September 23, 2026 after a long battle with cancer.

She was preceded in her death by her beloved parents Helen and Wilbur. Jackie is survived by her devoted brother Michael, loving family and friends.

Jackie was a 1977 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School. She continued her education, while working full time, and graduated from LaSalle College with a Master’s degree in Finance. She worked in insurance for over 40years.

Jackie enjoyed the simple things in life. Halloween was her absolute favorite holiday. She loved the spooky season, watching scary movies and visiting haunted houses. She was a loving person who always thought of others. She was a strong woman who never backed down despite what came her way. Jackie was a true animal lover and animal activist who took action for the fair treatment of animals. Her kindness and selflessness left a mark on everyone who knew her. You will be dearly missed and will forever be in our hearts.

Family and friends are invited to attend Jackie’s Service at Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, Pa 19115 on Friday, October 9, 2026. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by 11:00 a.m. mass. Interment will be at a later date.
